The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) team as a Customs and Border Protection Officer . As a CBPO, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our nation's borders while facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.

• A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators, enforcing customs laws, utilizing intelligence techniques for threat assessment.


• Demonstrated ability to make rapid judgments with respect to regulations regarding importing/exporting merchandise or enforcement/administration laws related to entry/departure from the United States.


• Experience working in law enforcement capacity conducting interviews for information gathering purposes from suspected violators; skillfully handling complex situations under pressure.

Federal law requires applicants be U.S. Citizens having had primary residency within three out five years prior application submission date.
This position falls under Public Law 107-296 which stipulates no age restrictions apply once currently serving military personnel
