The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to fill entry-level positions in the Federal Security and Public Safety Sector.
This role involves safeguarding our nation's borders, deterring illicit activities, and promoting economic prosperity through effective law enforcement practices.
Prominent Responsibilities:
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
- Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
- Maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations
- Analyzing information rapidly to make prompt decisions regarding arrests or other enforcement actions
Meet Our Requirements for Success:
The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, be able to work effectively under stress, maintain physical fitness standards set by the agency.
You will need general work experience with decision-making capabilities or an equivalent combination of education including bachelor's degrees related fields such as criminal justice homeland security forensic technology psychology.
h4f Must have primary residency within three years prior joining service also refer federal civilian non-military covered Title 5 US Code 8336(c) / title 8412(d).
