This is a career ladder position with promotions to higher grade levels after successful completion of 52 weeks in each grade.

• Promote public safety through enforcement of customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.


• Detect and prevent smuggling activities that threaten the nation's economic prosperity.


• Operate as part of a highly trained team of law enforcement professionals who work together to achieve mission goals.

• Possess specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, including detaining suspected violators of federal or local laws.
