The role of a Customs and Border Protection Officer is to enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws in the United States. This involves inspecting individuals and conveyances for contraband or prohibited goods.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Federal law enforcement experience with proficiency in firearms training;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze intelligence information to identify potential threats;
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of specialized work experience.
In addition, relevant coursework that combines studies such as international business relations, political science and criminology is acceptable when combined with relevant work experiences.
