Job Description/Summary:  
 

The Physical Therapy Assistant assists one or more Physical Therapists in evaluating and providing treatment to help patients recover from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments. Prepares patients and equipment for therapy and implements treatment plans as instructed, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment. Records patient's reaction to treatment and provides status reports at the end of each treatment. Requires graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program. 

Minimum Training and Education :  Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy Assistant and holds a current valid South Carolina license to practice.  
 

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations :  Board Certified by the South Carolina State Board as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
