The role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a defined territory and drive sustainable sales growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships, spotting opportunities, and making a real impact on business performance.
You’ll be trusted to manage your area like your own business, balancing strategic planning with hands-on sales activity, while working closely with internal teams to deliver excellent service to customers.
What you’ll be doing
* Managing and growing sales across your assigned region, with full accountability for performance and targets
* Developing strong, long-term relationships with both existing customers and new prospects
* Identifying opportunities to expand product usage and increase market share
* Planning and executing effective sales visits, product demonstrations, and presentations
* Negotiating pricing and commercial agreements within agreed parameters
* Keeping accurate records of activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM systems
* Monitoring competitor activity and market trends, feeding insights back into the wider team
* Collaborating with internal departments to ensure smooth onboarding, delivery, and ongoing customer support
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in a field-based sales or area management role
* A confident communicator who can build trust at all levels
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
* A commercial mindset with the ability to spot and convert opportunities
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region
