Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a cutting-edge field. As Program Manager, you'll drive the execution of program development to fulfill Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Time (QCDT) objectives, ensuring alignment with Alstom's global standards and goals. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Sub-System Managers, Product Managers, and Commodity Managers), manage program governance, and ensure the successful delivery of program objectives, and much more.
You'll specifically take care of program execution using a target cost approach and cost management practices, but also support the first applicative projects of the program to ensure seamless governance and execution.
You have developed solid skills in project and/or program and cost management, in the railway or transportation sector and are recognized as an engaging and collaborating leader to orchestrate cross-functional activities in a complex multicultural and multilevel environment, you are our ideal candidate.
This position based at our St-Bruno site on the South Shore of Montreal is a permanent full-time position- Ability to work in an international, multi-site and matrix organization. Hybrid work environment – 3 days on site.
We'll look to you for:
Driving the execution of the Program Development to meet QCDT objectives
Maximizing results with respect to R&D investments and economics while adhering to Alstom's program management processes
Managing governance activities such as Program Review Boards and scope change control boards
Coordinating program activities from development to project execution
Ensuring alignment among key program stakeholders toward shared goals
Monitoring program performance indicators, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and Gate Review timelines

University degree in a technical field- engineering preferred
At least 5 years of experience as a Program/Engineering Manager in the railway, automotive, aircraft, or equivalent industry
Engineering background with project deployment experience
Experience in cost management, design-to-cost, and planning control
Knowledge of products and services relevant to the industry
Strong business and financial acumen, including understanding of return on investment
Effective communication and influencing skills to build consensus
Interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and leadership
Proficiency in risk assessment and the ability to mobilize teams to achieve objectives
Analytical and critical thinking abilities
Fluency in both French and English
