We are currently looking for a Track Survey Technician who takes pride in delivering their best work every day and enjoys collaborating with a strong team to achieve shared goals on our transit work in Toronto. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct daily field surveys along railway corridors using GNSS, total stations, and Amberg trolley rail systems.
Perform track geometry as-builts, including alignment, profile, and curvature measurements.
Provide detailed and accurate daily survey field data, notes, sketches, and supporting documentation.
Support construction and maintenance crews by providing layout and as-built services for track upgrades, crossings, and other infrastructure.
Collaborate with onsite managers, superintendents, and track construction teams to ensure survey deliverables meet project specifications and timelines.
Identify and communicate discrepancies to management in a timely manner.
Actively participate in the advancement of Tri Innovations' health and safety program.
Calibrate and maintain survey equipment for optimal performance.
Work closely with onsite construction crews to effectively complete daily tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years experience in surveying; infrastructure and rail experience is an asset.
Degree or diploma in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Proficient with technical survey equipment including Leica total stations and Captivate software.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.
Willing to work outdoors in varying conditions in the GTA area.
Capable of working in a team environment in a safe, accurate, efficient manner.
Possession of a valid G level driver's license with a clean drivers abstract.
