Automation Specialist - PL#89955

The successful candidate will work closely with operators and the automation team in a heavy industrial setting to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support field testing and implementation of automation initiatives.
• Collect, monitor, and report system and operational data.
• Collaborate effectively with front-line operators and the automation team.
• Assist in ramp-up and support of underground mining operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to automation and operational efficiency.

Additional Information:

• This is a contract opportunity with potential to extend depending on project needs.
• Candidates must be flexible with start times and onsite presence.

Requirements

• Intermediate or higher automation skills; experience with controls, data collection, system monitoring, and reporting is an asset.
• Experience in mining operations, ideally with underground operations.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with front-line operators.
• Based locally in Saskatoon or able to commute to site as required.
