The successful candidate will work closely with operators and the automation team in a heavy industrial setting to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support field testing and implementation of automation initiatives.
- Collect, monitor, and report system and operational data.
- Collaborate effectively with front-line operators and the automation team.
- Assist in ramp-up and support of underground mining operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to automation and operational efficiency.
Additional Information:
- This is a contract opportunity with potential to extend depending on project needs.
- Candidates must be flexible with start times and onsite presence.
Requirements
- Intermediate or higher automation skills; experience with controls, data collection, system monitoring, and reporting is an asset.
- Experience in mining operations, ideally with underground operations.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with front-line operators.
- Based locally in Saskatoon or able to commute to site as required.
