Position Summary:
The CSR-Project Estimator is a full-time, onsite role providing support throughout projects from take-offs to delivery. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing take-offs, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors, proactively resolving challenges, and maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves supporting the Order Desk when needed, assisting on-site to understand ground-level issues, and performing other project-related tasks as required. Strong attention to detail, a practical understanding of technical drawings, and clear communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight & Execution:
  • Manage all stages of projects to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and review project take-offs, proposals, preparing quotes and bids with a strong focus on accuracy, margins, and competitiveness.
  • Review scope documents, contracts, and technical specifications to ensure clarity before production begins.
  • Negotiate with clients to address scope changes, timelines, and implement value-added solutions.
  • Create and apply pricing strategies to meet client needs and maximize profitability.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and material requirements to ensure availability, pricing accuracy, and feasibility.
  • Support business development by helping secure new projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Team Vendor Coordination:
  • Coordinate planning with Management, Sales, Order Desk, Production, and Purchasing to meet project timelines once requirements are identified.
  • Work with internal teams, external suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate project tracking in Excel, Fenevision, or Core, including pricing, margins, and change orders.
Problem-Solving:
  • Proactively identify challenges or gaps in project execution and resolve issues quickly.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and customer satisfaction are always top priorities.
Client Communication & Satisfaction:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate pricing changes, negotiated adjustments, and scope updates clearly and professionally.
  • Coordinate post-installation follow-ups with the Service team to ensure client satisfaction and contract closure.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing residential construction or home improvement projects, preferably in the window and door industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and project management tools.
  • Accurate and fluent measurement skills for windows, doors, and related components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required; experience with window and door specifications is highly preferred.
