As Relationship Manager - Cash Management, reporting to the Market Director, you'll be responsible for developing and managing a profitable portfolio of Commercial and Not for Profit non-borrowing arrangements. The individual will have primary responsibility for the development of new relationships and acquisition of stable deposits in the range of $750,000 to $5,000,000 including those members requiring custom cash management solutions. The individual will also support an assigned group of Commercial Relationship Managers to increase product penetration and expand the portfolio of depository and cash management services associated with managed borrowing relationships. The individual will call on and meet with existing and prospective members for the purposes of uncovering their depository, cash management, operational, and business needs. The individual is required to understand and apply our new credit union vision and Members First business strategy by identifying member goals the needs and delivering solutions to help members achieve their goals.
What You'll Be Doing
Deposit & Cash Management Sales
Develop and maintain an effective business development and community involvement strategy including establishing a network of referral sources including Associations, Accountants, Lawyers and Trade associations
Develop and implement a solutions-based sales approach to fully explore and meet the needs of our business members.
Ensure effective cash management strategies and solutions are presented to our existing members and new opportunities
Ensure a timely pro-active approach to annual service need analysis and renegotiation is employed.
Maintain an awareness and understanding of cash management industry trends and emerging services in the payment space including Remote Deposit Capture and fraud protection
Assess member needs and propose products/solutions to meet the member's business objectives as per the members first sales cycle.
Drive member wallet share with new and existing full-service members by establishing, maintaining and growing the relationships using key partners and making referrals and participating in industry associations and networking activities.
Collaborate with operational partners to drive new member relationships identified from lead lists, existing portfolio's data and analysis or other referral sources.
Represent the credit union in community and industry events and undertake activities to enhance the credit unions image within the assigned region
Ensure effective investment strategies for managing short-, medium- and long-term reserves are presented
Oversee and co-coordinate responses to competitive bid arrangements within the region to secure new business opportunities
Collaboratively work with the Business Services Implementation team on the successful transition of acquired business
Business Process
Ensure a timely pro-active approach to annual service need analysis and renegotiation is employed.
Develop and maintain tracking of all business activity and provide timely status updates to the referring individual
Authorize non-standard pricing arrangements and investment rates within assigned limits.
Understand and mitigate transaction risk associated with complex payment services
Maintain current with advancements in competitor service offerings, pricing and other market factors and recommend any changes.
Employee Experience
As subject matter expert, provide guidance knowledge and support to Servus employees in all specialized services
Mentor Cash Management Advisors, Associates and Implementation Specialists
Participate in credit union partner conventions or presentations
Experience
What you Bring:
A minimum 5 years of financial institution management experience.
5 years of relative Commercial or Cash Management experience.
Solid understanding of financial markets with specific emphasis on money market instruments and foreign exchange.
Education And Training
A post-secondary degree in a business discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certificates
Professional designation is an asset (CTP, CSC, PFP, CIM)
Any Other Special Requirements Necessary To Do The Job
Weekend or shift work, available to travel, etc.
The business may from time to time ask for branch and/or department support for special projects and/or areas experiencing staff shortages. All employees may be asked to volunteer to assist in areas of need during these times. These assignments could result in a change of hours, location, and/or travel.
