About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, compliance, and performance of our finance systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practice financial governance.
The environment includes accounting, payroll, reporting, and integrated finance platforms.
Systems Environment (Essential Experience)
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:
Xero
ApprovalMax
Fathom Reporting
Spendable (expense management platform)
Experience integrating and managing workflows across these systems is critical.
ey Responsibilities
Maintain compliance across finance and expense management systems
Oversee ApprovalMax workflows (PO, invoice and payment approvals)
Ensure proper segregation of duties and delegation of authority limits
Manage Spendable expense controls and policy compliance
Maintain Xero chart of accounts integrity and system configuration
Oversee Fathom reporting accuracy and KPI alignment
Conduct monthly user access reviews and audit trail checks
Monitor integrations (bank feeds, expense feeds, approval workflows)
Support audit readiness and financial governance documentation
Identify control weaknesses and implement improvements
Maintain change management documentation
Required Experience
5+ years in finance systems, financial accounting, or systems governance
Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks
Proven hands-on experience with Xero, ApprovalMax, Fathom and Spendable
Experience implementing or tightening approval workflows
Strong knowledge of expense management compliance
Audit support experience
Excellent documentation and process design capability
High attention to detail
Desirable:
Multi-entity/group structure experience
NFP experience (if applicable)
Systems optimisation and automation background
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
