Job SummaryACCO Brands is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Decision Support to join the North America (N.A.) Decision Support finance team. Reporting to the Director, Finance, Tech Accessories, this role serves as a strategic business partner to Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance by designing, managing, and analyzing scalable financial data models that support commercial and operational decision-making.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for transforming complex, multi-source financial data into structured, analysis-ready datasets using modern analytics tools. This role emphasize data modeling, automation, and metric governance to enable consistent reporting, forecasting, and evaluation of profitability, pricing, and growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with advanced data skills, thrives in ambiguity, and proactively improves how financial data is prepared, validated, and consumed across the organization. This position is hybrid, working from our Mississauga, Ontario (Canada) location.
ResponsibilitiesReporting, Modeling and Analysis
- Prepare reporting and analysis of Sales and Net Standard Gross Profit by customer and channel.
- Track the impact of tariffs, freight and other cost changes on profitability and flag risks as they arise.
- Support sales outlooks, forecasts, and budgets as part of the North American finance team.
- Build and maintain financial models and dashboards to monitor business performance, pricing actions, and new opportunities.
- Support weekly forecast reporting by reviewing inputs, reconciling variances and confirming accuracy.
- Provide analysis on new business opportunities to support management decision-making.
- Monitor margin performance and raise issues or concerns when risks appear.
Commercial Support and Cross-Functional Work
- Act as the primary Finance contact for Sales team for pricing and promotions.
- Work with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product teams to align financial planning inputs with actual business activity.
- Support the design and maintenance of Customer Sales Incentive Programs (SIP) in collaboration with Sales Operations.
- Participate in the Customer Agreements Programs (CAP) team to maintain consistent approaches and improve spending effectiveness.
- Prepare business cases and profit and loss statements to support review and approval by senior management.
- Partner with Sales team leads and customers to develop annual customer agreements that define how sales incentives are calculated and settled.
Data Quality, Automation, and Process Improvement
- Use tools such as Microsoft Copilot and other automation features to assist with data exploration, variance analysis, and documentation, with appropriate review and validation.
- Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
- Work with the broader North America Finance group to improve consistency, efficiency, and shared practices.
- Respond to ad hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- 5-7+ years of experience in finance, decision support, or commercial analytics, preferably in consumer products or CPG organization.
- Strong financial analysis skills, including experience with forecasting, margin analysis, pricing, tariffs, and business case development.
- Experience working with Power BI and Tableau to create and maintain dashboards and reports connected to governed data models.
- Advanced Excel skills – including building and maintaining structured models using Power Pivot, Power Query, and Dax.
- Practical experience using Microsoft Copilot within Excel, Power BI, and Power Query work flows to support analysis, documentation, and productivity, with appropriate review and validation of outputs.
- Comfort working with large, multi-source datasets and resolving data quality issues at the source.
- Ability to explain analytical results clearly to non-technical stakeholders and support decision making.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and a willingness to question results that do not align with business understanding.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and incorporate input into financial analysis and recommendations.
