About the Position:

Walters is looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and positive attitude who are seeking a position that will provide skill growth and development.

The Blaster is responsible for planning and loading the blast carts and efficiently operating the blast machine and equipment, troubleshooting equipment repairs as required and accurately completing all required paperwork.  The Blaster is also responsible for moving material from the blast cart as well as setting up the paint booths and staging all materials accordingly.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Cart Loading and Planning.
  • Analyzes the pieces to go through the blaster to appropriately plan the location of the pieces on the blast cart.
  • Efficient and accurate operation of blasting machine and equipment.
  • Efficiently operates the blast machine maximizing output while maintaining the quality of the product.
  • Troubleshoots machine breakdowns working with maintenance when required.
  • Performs routine maintenance on the blaster.
  • Identifies which pieces require hand blasting and efficiently/accurately hand blasts the piece.
  • Crane, Rigging and Flipping.
  • Material Staging - Sets pieces in paint booth accordingly for painters to begin work, understanding straight lines, placement of materials for flipping, as well as maximizing the use of space available.

  • Princeton Facility.

Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to learn in a fast pace environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and able to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Able to adapt and complete tasks as priorities change.
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic.

Compensation Package:

  • Wage: $22.00-$29.00/Hour
  • Vacation.
