Edelman is seeking a Senior Strategist, Connections Strategy to support the development of integrated media, content, and experience ecosystems that connect brands to audiences across earned, owned, shared, and paid channels. This role is hands-on and focused on building journeys, channel strategies, and connection plans, with strategic oversight, coaching, and refinement provided by the VP, Connections Strategy.
You will work closely with digital, creative, media, data, and client service teams to translate insights into clear, actionable strategies that drive business and brand outcomes.
Core Responsibilities:
Connections & Journey Strategy Development
• Help develop audience journeys and connection plans across social, digital, PR, influencer, paid media, and owned platforms.
• Translate insights, segmentation, and behavioral understanding into full- and mid-funnel channel strategies.
• Define the role, sequencing, and integration of channels within broader campaign ecosystems.
• Identify experience gaps, friction points, and opportunities for optimization or
innovation.
Strategic Collaboration & Delivery
• Partner with creative, media, DxI, and digital teams to ensure strategies are clear, connected, and executable.
• Support the development of channel briefs, journey maps, and strategic frameworks for integrated campaigns.
• Contribute to measurement thinking by aligning tactics to objectives and KPIs.
• Support client presentations and working sessions with clear, well-structured strategic narratives.
Learning, Innovation & Craft
• Stay current on platform changes, cultural trends, and emerging technologies to inform strategic recommendations.
• Contribute to Edelman thinking around connections planning, ecosystem design, and digital strategy.
• Continuously refine strategic craft through feedback and mentorship from senior leaders.
Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in integrated strategy, communications planning, or digital strategy within an agency or consultancy.
• Strong understanding of digital, social, content, and media ecosystems and how audiences move through them.
• Experience developing channel strategies and journey frameworks for brand or integrated campaigns.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical, storytelling, and presentation skills.
• Comfortable working collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
