Job Summary and Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, a part of the Pacific Northwest Division of CommonSpirit, is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled OB/GYN physician to join our esteemed team in Burien, WA.

Position Overview

We are a well-established and busy physician and midwife women's health group located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Our Burien group consists of 6 OB/GYN physicians, 6 CNM’s, 1 Gyn Surgeon and 1 GYN ARNP. We also have support from 6 MFM, 1 Urogynecologist and 2 Gynecologic Oncologists. We provide evidenced-based women's healthcare services to Burien and surrounding communities.

The new physician will be based at St. Anne Hospital in Burien with satellite clinics located in Des Moines and West Seattle. Case mix includes a blend of OB and GYN, inpatient and outpatient. Call is taken in 24 hour shifts and shared equally amongst the group.

Candidates must be hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated to providing superior patient care. Our group serves in one of the most rapidly growing areas in the country. Living in the Puget Sound Region provides for active city life, but still offers plenty of outdoor adventures. You can choose between city living and the suburbs.

Hospital Overview

St. Anne Hospital is a 159 bed, Level III Trauma Center located in Burien, WA. The group does approximately 100 deliveries per month. There is 24/7 Anesthesia coverage. St. Anne has a Special Care Nursery capable of caring for infants as young as 32 weeks which is staffed by a Pediatric Hospitalist who handles all neonatal needs, resuscitations and transfers. Our partner facility, St. Joseph Medical Center has a Level III NICU and is in close proximity for transfers if needed. We also have a partnership with Seattle Children’s for specialty newborn care. St. Anne has achieved Baby Friendly designation as well as recognition by the International Lactation Consultant Association for excellence in lactation care. For gynecologic surgeries, you will have access to an XI daVinci robot.

Compensation range of $325,030 - $481,800 is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.


Job Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible (must become BC within the first two years of employment)

  • Washington State medical license required at time of employment

  • DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority

  • Current BLS for Health Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
