Job Overview:
Perform general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality, safety standards, and brand expectations are achieved and maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete minor work orders including replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, painting, patching vinyl, and basic repairs to plumbing, sinks, toilets, pipelines, kitchen, and laundry equipment
Perform preventive maintenance duties as assigned
Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are prepared and operational for daily tasks
Monitor and maintain efficiency of building systems including HVAC controls, guest access doors, lighting systems, and televisions
Refurbish and repair guest room furniture and fixtures including cabinets, tables, doors, windows, and counters
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the front entrance, parking areas, grounds, pool, and fitness facilities
Assist with minor plumbing repairs and general building maintenance
Ensure proper handling, security, and inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment
Report unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor promptly
Respond courteously and efficiently to guest requests and maintenance-related concerns
Promote teamwork and effective communication with all departments
Perform other duties as assigned while following all Company and Brand Standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
Basic reading, writing, and math skills
Minimum 1 year of general building maintenance or repair experience
High school diploma or related vocational training preferred
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, hand tools, and preventive maintenance procedures
Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift, carry, pull, or push items up to 50 pounds
Comfortable standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
Able to remain stationary for extended periods when required
Other:
Strong communication skills when interacting with guests and team members
Ability to read manuals, document completed work, and follow instructions
Basic math skills used regularly
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
