About the Role: 

The Service Technician plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction by delivering timely, high-quality equipment service. This includes diagnostics and troubleshooting, emergency repairs, planned preventative maintenance, pre- and post-delivery inspections, customer training, and general technical support related to equipment performance and care. 

In addition to powered cleaning equipment, the Service Technician services and supports Kitchen, Laundry, and Food Processing (KLFP) systems and is responsible for the installation and maintenance of chemical dispensing equipment. This includes configuring, calibrating, and ensuring proper operation to meet customer requirements and safety standards.

As a frontline representative of the company, the Service Technician builds strong customer relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and technical expertise. Through high-quality workmanship and attention to detail, the Service Technician ensures equipment is properly serviced, maintained, and ready to perform when customers need it most.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain, diagnose, and service commercial cleaning equipment such as power washers, floor scrubbers, and small engines in both the workshop and on customer property

  • Service and support Kitchen, Laundry, and Food Processing systems, ensuring proper operation and chemical performance

  • Install, configure, and maintain chemical dispensing systems in customer facilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and system calibrations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards

  • Maintain an inventory of replacement parts and equipment

  • Care for, maintain, and stock the service van

  • Efficiently manage and complete scheduled service calls based on established procedures

  • Assist the Sales and Management teams with equipment demonstrations and rentals

  • Keep accurate records of billable hours spent on in-house or on-site service calls

  • Promote and support Planned Maintenance Agreements to reduce customer downtime

  • Respond to after-hours or weekend emergency service calls as required

What You Bring:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Acceptable Driver's Abstract and valid Driver's License (Class 5) 

  • Ability to read and understand product manuals, diagrams, and schematics

  • Strong organizational skills and clerical abilities for the maintenance of parts inventory

  • Strong computer skills in order to log calls, billable hours, and place orders for parts

  • Interpersonal skills to communicate with customers, staff, and suppliers in a pleasant and professional manner

  • Acquired technical or mechanical knowledge or aptitude, such as experience working with electronics, appliances, small engines, or automotive repair would be an asset

  • Willingness to learn new skills from our experienced team

  • Location: Delta/Surrey, British Columbia 

  • Salary: Starting from $55,000 to $70,000 based on skills and experience  

  • Variable compensation: Annual performance bonus eligibility

  • Vacation: Starting at 3 weeks
