- Location: Kingston, ON - Hybrid (2-3 days a week in-office)

Requirements
What You'll Do (Your Superpowers):
- Serve as a senior technical resource and trusted advisor for enterprise clients, supporting the design, architecture, migration, and optimization of virtualization environments
- Provide expert guidance on virtualization platforms with a strong focus on Proxmox technologies, including Virtual Environment and Backup Server
- Lead and contribute to complex infrastructure projects, including platform migrations from VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix to modern, open-source solutions
- Engage directly with clients through technical workshops, screen-sharing sessions, and detailed documentation to deliver clear, actionable recommendations
- Evaluate and validate server hardware designs, reviewing specifications such as CPU, memory, storage, and networking to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot advanced virtualization, networking, and storage issues using strong Linux system administration and command-line expertise
- Manage support requests through their full lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and a high standard of service delivery
- Conduct technical research, lab testing, and proof-of-concept work to support client solutions and expand internal expertise
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and partners to resolve complex issues and improve solution outcomes
What We're Looking For (Our Wishlist):
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise virtualization or infrastructure roles
- Hands‑on experience with platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, or Nutanix (Proxmox experience is a plus, but not required)
- Strong Linux system administration skills and comfort working in command‑line environments
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including VLANs, link aggregation, routing fundamentals, and data centre networking
- Familiarity with enterprise storage technologies (e.g., iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SAN environments)
- Experience supporting enterprise or large‑scale clients in MSP, consulting, or internal IT environments
- Ability to communicate confidently with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- A curious mindset and the confidence to tackle problems you haven't seen before
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience participating in infrastructure design or pre-sales technical discussions
- Exposure to large data centre or ISP-level networking environments
- Familiarity with modern DevOps or infrastructure-as-code concepts
- Basic scripting or automation experience
- Additional language skills (French, Spanish, or German)
- Relevant technical certifications
