Account Executive – Victoria

This is a flexible, in‑office role based in our Victoria office.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.
The salary range for this position is $75,000–$96,000. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, and may be adjusted based on geographic location. Aon also offers a generous incentive earning opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package.

What the day will look like
Each day is unique in this role. Your work may include:
- Leading and overseeing the 120‑day renewal process, including preparing renewal reports, presenting to clients for approval, acquiring binding orders, reviewing policy documentation, and delivering policies to clients in a timely manner
- Delivering continuous excellence in servicing an existing book of business
- Collaborating with colleagues in Victoria and across Canada
- Identifying specific client and prospect needs and developing innovative, cost‑effective solutions
- Ensuring all procedures, internal client documents, and correspondence comply with Aon audit standards
- Coordinating and providing oversight to the account team and establishing client service plans that prioritize account activities and profitability through a value‑based approach
- Leading the overall strategy for the account throughout the year, including negotiations with underwriters
- Cross‑selling and expanding existing insurance programs with clients; developing and leading client relationships to increase penetration and cultivate new business opportunities
- Producing new business and assisting in the development of sales and marketing strategies designed to drive revenue generation
- Developing new contacts and establishing relationships with prospects that align with the region's/branch's targeted industries or segment groups
- Acting as the visible face of Aon to clients and prospects in the community, consistently prospecting and facilitating lead‑generation activities
- Participating in industry‑sponsored events and maximizing opportunities to become involved with various industry committees
- Leading by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of Aon United
- Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of Commercial Risk experience with a strong track record of generating new business. They will have excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with a broad range of audiences, and will bring a sales‑oriented, client‑focused mindset to the role.
- Post‑secondary education or relevant experience
- Eligibility for a General Insurance License; Level II licence preferred
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, including certifications such as CIP, CAIB, or CRM
- Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to lead a client team that may include brokers, claims advocates, and risk control consultants
- Consistent track record of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines under ambitious timelines
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
