About The Role
Bosa Properties is looking for a Maintenance Technician (4-month contract) to join our team of skilled property management professionals. Reporting to the Operations Manager this individual will have a unique opportunity to work alongside the building management to provide a safe, customer-focused experience for our residents. This position plays a key part in the experience by providing exceptional customer service to tenants while completing in-suite and common area maintenance duties.
The role will support multiple sites: Chinatown, Switchmen, Pendrell (located in Vancouver) and Foster (located in Coquitlam)
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the building team to perform various repair and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, appliance repairs and general duties related to maintenance;
- Conduct inspections of mechanical rooms, identify issues, and coordinate trade support;
- Assist in coordinating month-end turnovers of rental suites, ensuring units are move-in ready for new residents;
- Adhere to all safety protocols, building codes, and regulations while performing maintenance and repair tasks;
- Respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies promptly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and building.
What You Bring
- One (1) year of customer service experience, with experience in building maintenance or a related field being considered an asset;
- A positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to take initiative and contribute to the success of the community;
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, team members and external partners;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities, in a dynamic environment;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods;
- Ability to work on the weekend and/or a holiday as required with month-end tasks;
- Experience with completing minor repairs and maintenance tasks for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances and knowledge of when to call in external support will be considered an asset;
- Experience with financial management and budgeting will be considered an asset;
- Ability to work independently with high mobility on multiple sites.
