We are seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our distribution center team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and meticulously packed for shipment. Your responsibilities will include navigating the warehouse to find specific items, verifying product details, and preparing them for transit. This is a key position within our Logistics framework, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. As a Picker/Packer, you play a crucial role in the seamless operation of our supply chain and contribute to the overall success of our Logistics department.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations according to order lists.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack orders securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Stage packed orders for efficient loading and dispatch.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the picking and packing areas.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and procedures, including proper equipment operation.
- Utilize required PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves, diligently.
- Perform Lifting of items as needed, following safe Lifting techniques.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding order status and any issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
- Capacity for manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform Lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations and order fulfillment processes.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow instructions and use provided PPE.
- Ability to work in a dynamic warehouse environment.
