We are seeking a versatile Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our busy warehouse in Tampa, Florida. This role is crucial for managing both the inbound and outbound flow of products within our logistics operations. You will be responsible for accurately receiving goods, preparing shipments, and maintaining the organization and safety of our warehouse. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly impact our supply chain performance.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect for damage against purchase orders.
- Accurately record received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper put-away and stock rotation.
- Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Use required PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational goals within the logistics framework.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in both shipping and receiving roles within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices is essential.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management is beneficial.
- Reliability and punctuality are required.
