We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our state-of-the-art distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring materials are processed accurately and efficiently to support our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming goods, verifying quantities and inspecting for damage.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations and safety.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 50 lbs, on a regular basis.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
