Join our dynamic team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Virginia Beach, Virginia! In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods and the last stop before outgoing shipments leave our facility. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and stocking incoming inventory, as well as efficiently processing, packing, and labeling outgoing orders. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are vital to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring the smooth flow of our Logistics operations. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, energetic, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to handle frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs, and strict adherence to Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE . Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock incoming inventory in designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Accurately label and document all outgoing shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification preferred).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of workplace Safety .
- Willingness to wear designated PPE , such as safety shoes and gloves.
