In this critical role, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance. You will be responsible for managing staff, optimizing workflow, ensuring inventory accuracy, and upholding the highest standards of Safety and efficiency. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of Logistics and supply chain management. You will play a vital part in improving processes, training team members, and ensuring that all operational goals are met. The role involves supervising teams involved in significant Lifting and material handling, so a strong emphasis on safe practices and the correct use of PPE is paramount. We expect our supervisors to be proactive in identifying and mitigating risks. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff.
- Develop and implement efficient work processes and schedules.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and enforce all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all team members.
- Manage equipment maintenance and facility upkeep.
- Analyze operational data and prepare performance reports.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in Logistics .
- Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage team performance, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with manual tasks including Lifting and moving inventory when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent understanding of Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to manage tasks involving significant physical exertion and Lifting .
- Proficiency in implementing and enforcing the use of PPE .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
