Join our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington, as a Material Handler! We are looking for a proactive and physically capable individual to manage the flow of materials within our warehouse. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished goods are moved efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for handling, organizing, and transporting various materials throughout the facility. A strong commitment to safety, efficient workflow, and maintaining a clean work environment are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring secure and proper placement of materials.
- Transport materials between different departments or storage areas within the warehouse.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Stage materials for production or shipping as required.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory levels.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and stock audits.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment, with certification preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 60 lbs, regularly.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- A commitment to safety is essential for this role.
