Our St. Louis, Missouri location is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment, and coordinating with carriers for timely pickups. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will play a key part in ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Verify shipping information against orders and manifests.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management.
- Assist with inventory management and related tasks as needed.
- Handle occasional lifting of packages up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
