We are seeking a dynamic Distribution Center Associate to join our growing team in Houston, Texas. In this multifaceted role, you will contribute to various warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and accurate flow of goods through our distribution center, supporting our expansive logistics network. This position requires a proactive approach, physical capability, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Sort and place materials onto racks, shelves, or in designated storage areas.
- Pick and fulfill orders accurately and on time.
- Pack orders for shipment, ensuring product protection and presentation.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in stocktaking.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Safety regulations.
- Utilize scanning technology for inventory tracking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is highly valued.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including consistent Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long periods.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be committed to Safety and follow all guidelines.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE, such as safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
