Job Summary:
Our New York City, New York location seeks an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to meticulously manage our warehouse inventory. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our stock levels, directly impacting our logistics and fulfillment operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, performing comprehensive physical inventory audits, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and implementing effective inventory control strategies. Your analytical skills will be vital in identifying trends, optimizing stock rotation, and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a proven background in inventory management within a fast-paced warehouse setting. A strong understanding of logistics best practices and warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. You will collaborate closely with operations and supply chain teams to maintain precise inventory data. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the efficiency and profitability of our business. Safety is a non-negotiable aspect of our work; therefore, strict adherence to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of PPE is expected. Responsibilities:
  • Execute regular cycle counting and participate in annual physical inventories.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain real-time accuracy of inventory data within the WMS.
  • Develop, refine, and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure proper organization, storage, and labeling of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., receiving, shipping, operations) to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within logistics.
  • Champion and enforce all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the warehouse and supply chain.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar high-volume warehouse role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to inventory, including moderate Lifting.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and understanding the importance of PPE.
