Our Orlando, Florida facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, storage, and dispatch. Your duties will encompass conducting regular cycle counts, performing physical inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels. You will work closely with the logistics and operations teams to ensure that inventory data is accurate and up-to-date in our systems. This position requires a highly organized individual with a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to precision. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in inventory control within a warehouse environment and a deep understanding of logistics best practices. We are looking for someone who can identify potential issues and proactively implement solutions to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and supporting the overall efficiency of our supply chain. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to champion and enforce all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on variances.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory items.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to track goods movement.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for logistics and inventory processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform tasks involving Lifting and moving inventory items.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
