We are seeking a talented Research Scientist with proven experience in generative computer vision (CV) to research and develop advanced algorithms and models for our content creators. In this impactful role, you will: Research and prototype reusable algorithms throughout the multimedia machine learning cycle, covering data processing, feature extraction, distributed model training with GPUs, and deployment of models to production. Design, train, fine-tune, and evaluate innovative algorithms for various applications, aiming to push the boundaries of CV technology. Mentor junior scientists and direct significant research initiatives. Collaborate with machine learning engineers, product managers, and creative partners to shape the direction of our research. Continuously expand your technical expertise and domain knowledge as the industry evolves. About you:
5+ years of research experience with a successful track record of delivering results and/or publishing in top-tier ML, CV, or computer graphics venues. In-depth knowledge of modern generative model architectures, including diffusion and autoregressive models. Experience with the entire model development process: data curation, annotation, distributed training, and evaluation techniques. Proven expertise in designing and training deep learning (DL) and diffusion architectures for media generation. Extensive knowledge of DL frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Strong programming proficiency in Python, Java, or C++. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. An advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field. Bonus experience:
Innovative work on modern generative methods and components. Expertise in 3D vision or graphics technologies. Industry experience in content creation areas such as animation, games, or visual effects, along with a history of developing relevant tools or solutions. Familiarity with tools for generative models, such as ComfyUI. Proficiency in computer graphics, visual effects tools, and game engines like Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, or Nuke. At Netflix, compensation is structured as an annual salary without bonuses. Each year, you can choose how to allocate your compensation between salary and stock options. The compensation range for this role varies from $300,000.00 to $537,000.00, based on market indicators, your job family, background, skills, and experience. Netflix offers comprehensive benefits including health plans, mental health support, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, stock option programs, disability benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, family-forming benefits, and life benefits. Full-time employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and sick leave. Full-time salaried staff are granted flexible time off immediately.
