American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Senior Managers, Software Engineering to, under the supervision of a Director, Engineering, identify and resolve inefficiencies in the development process. Review requirements specifications for defects, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security. Define requirements for new features and build product roadmaps. Monitor and track resolution of defects, coordinating with engineers in order to prevent, report, and resolve the issues. Recommend changes to APIs and system designs in collaboration with architects, tech leads, and developers. Plan process and technology improvement projects and collaborate on execution. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with building software development plans, architecting and driving the execution of enterprise solutions for engineering teams. Experience must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: Agile rapid application development environment; applying software development methodologies, continuous integration and development, and integrated test environments; designing scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise-level implementations; working on custom application development, and declarative features, including Apex, Visualforce, and LWC; leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams, driving successful project delivery and fostering innovation within the Salesforce ecosystem; release management and deployment strategies for large-scale Salesforce projects, including CI/CD pipelines; leveraging Salesforce-provided tools and features to optimize business processes; robust integration strategies using various API methods, including REST and SOAP; and middleware platforms, including MuleSoft. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
