Job Description Role: Join our dynamic Onboard Embodied AI team as a Lead Engineer in AI and Machine Learning, where you will play a pivotal role in creating advanced machine learning solutions essential for optimizing autonomous driving performance. This opportunity allows you to shape, design, and implement sophisticated ML models that transform raw sensor data into effective driving behaviors. Your efforts will enable vehicles to confidently navigate diverse real-world environments. You will also lead critical technical projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor fellow ML engineers to enhance our onboard ML capabilities. Our team is dedicated to building state-of-the-art onboard ML systems for fully autonomous vehicles. Utilizing contemporary end-to-end machine learning techniques and intricate neural networks trained on vast datasets of driving scenarios, we equip vehicles to understand complex and ever-evolving driving conditions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of advanced onboard ML models that ensure real-time inference and elevate autonomous driving capabilities.
Architect and manage intricate machine learning projects focusing on scalability, reliability, and safety-critical operations from conception to onboard usage.
Drive innovation in neural network design, training methodologies, and optimization techniques for real-time applications.
Act as a technical mentor and thought leader, enhancing engineering practices and promoting a culture of ML innovation across teams.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to facilitate seamless integration of ML technologies within autonomous vehicle systems.
Influence technical roadmaps by shaping ML priorities that align with corporate objectives and product timelines.
Your Skills & Abilities: Master's or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Over 5 years of experience with modern machine learning techniques.
Deep expertise in developing and deploying advanced ML systems for real-time onboard applications.
A proven track record as a technical leader, developing robust deep learning models that transform sensor data into actionable insights in safety-critical environments.
In-depth understanding of contemporary computer vision methods, neural network architectures, representation learning, real-time inference, and optimizations for resilience under uncertainty.
Strong programming proficiency, particularly in Python and C++, with hands-on experience in modern ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills that enable you to influence technical strategies and enhance ML engineering across the organization.
Bonus:
Experience with AV/ADAS systems is beneficial.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $259,000 to $396,700. Actual base salary will depend on relevant factors. Additionally, performance-based incentive programs may be offered. Hybrid:
