The Michigan Milk Producers Association is a dairy farmer owned cooperative and dairy processor. Founded in 1916, the MMPA serves dairy farmers in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin.
MMPA maintains a strong presence within the dairy industry with strategic business relationships through a variety of channels like processing shelf-stable, value added dairy products. MMPA has four member owned processing plants in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, including Superior Dairy and the Middlebury Cheese Company. Products made at MMPA's plants include fluid milk, sour cream, cheese, ultra-filtered milk, cottage cheese, ice cream, butter, nonfat dry milk, cream and condensed skim milk.

This position combines analytical development, dashboard creation, and master data stewardship to support consistent, reliable, and actionable insights for all internal customers.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Analytics Strategy Support
Translate business requirements into analytics solutions, KPIs, and dashboards. Support the development and execution of data strategy and governance initiatives. Promote data accessibility and literacy across departments. Data Development & Visualization
Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights. Develop reusable datasets, semantic models, and transformations. Establish visualization standards ensuring clarity and usability. Master Data Management (MDM)
Maintain and enhance key master data domains. Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and alignment across systems. Manage processes for creating, updating, and validating master data. Partner with business and IT to enforce governance practices. Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies. Data Quality, Documentation & Governance
Implement validation rules and quality controls. Document definitions, lineage, structures, and rules. Contribute to data catalog and governance framework. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and others. Lead requirements sessions, demos, and trainings. Ensure internal customers benefit from insights and data assets. Required Qualifications
3-5+ years in data analytics, BI development, or master data management. Strong SQL and structured data experience. Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI preferred). Data modeling experience (star schema, semantic models). Understanding of MDM principles and lifecycle processes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure Data Services or Microsoft Fabric. Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools. Experience with MDM tools or ERP MDM modules. Python skills for processing or automation. Exposure to data governance frameworks. Tools & Technologies (Preferred)
BI: Power BI, DAX, Power Query Data: Azure SQL, Lakehouse, Fabric Languages: SQL, Python Governance: Data cataloging, lineage tools Version Control: Git Education
Bachelor's degree in Data/Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
