What You'll Be Doing Develop scalable systems and components, thoughtfully balancing stability and long-term maintenance. Design, write, test, and deliver product-facing features with rigorous correctness and scalability demands. Collaborate with frontend and data teams to optimize our REST APIs for millions of customers. Mentor junior developers and lead complex projects within the team. What We Look For In You A minimum of 5 years of software development experience focused on performant, large-scale distributed systems. Experience in designing concurrent systems and a solid understanding of REST API design. Documented history of working on significant projects with lasting impacts on a team or system. Strong technical knowledge complemented by excellent judgment in task prioritization. A knack for solving complex engineering challenges to achieve team objectives. Experience mentoring junior developers and guiding the team on new initiatives and system enhancements. Preferred Qualifications Experience with a company that has rapidly grown from startup to mid-size. Background in conducting growth experiments or implementing A/B testing frameworks. Familiarity with Blockchain technologies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. Experience in transitioning a monolithic architecture to microservices. Proficient with technologies such as Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB. Experience developing financial, high-reliability, or security-focused systems. Knowledgeable about crypto, including tasks such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, utilizing ENS, and using dApps or blockchain-based services. Compensation and Opportunities Job #: GPBE05US Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $186,065 to $218,900 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase include bonus eligibility, equity opportunities, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
