Join Terawatt's dynamic technology team as a Network and Security Solutions Engineer, where you'll be instrumental in shaping and safeguarding our corporate and site infrastructure. This innovative role is designed to support the future of autonomous and electric vehicle fleets for Terawatt and our clients. Leverage your specialized skills to analyze diverse networking and customer needs, architect robust solutions, and lead the deployment and operation of enterprise-scale networks throughout our rapidly expanding network of sites. This position demands a combination of industry-leading best practices and creative problem-solving, ensuring quick delivery and consistent reliability in complex operational settings. In collaboration with the SVP of Technology, you will establish the vision for reliability, security, and customer trust across our entire technology framework. Core Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of global LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud networks ensuring scalability and resilience. Implement and enhance robust security measures, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and advanced security technologies to safeguard systems and data. Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and forensic analysis; develop and execute incident response plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network design, security compliance, and system integrations. Manage identity and access management (IAM) controls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security protocols. Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response processes. Stay current with cybersecurity and networking trends, adopting new technologies and maintaining controls for security frameworks (NIST, CIS, SOC2). Troubleshoot and manage complex network and security issues in partnership with external collaborators and internal teams. Drive network and security projects from conception to successful completion with strong project management. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in network architecture, engineering, and cybersecurity within enterprise-scale environments. In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and firewalls. Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners. Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid networking. Familiarity with Verkada, physical security, and similar applications. Strong problem-solving aptitude, along with experience in incident response and forensic analysis. Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Security+, CISSP are preferred. Experience with zero-trust architecture, SD-WAN, and next-gen firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.). Scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Ansible) are a plus. Compensation for this role ranges from $125,000 to $145,000 per year. The actual offer will be based on several factors, including geographic location, skills, and level of expertise.
