The Identity team oversees all aspects of user identity for Coinbase, including login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-factor authentication. As part of the Horizontal Frontend team, you will develop and maintain the user interfaces that facilitate these essential interactions. You will collaborate closely with backend teams to deliver seamless, scalable, and dependable user experiences. Our efforts are currently focused on migrating core frontend views to React Native, creating a unified codebase across different platforms. We are also working on innovative features like multi-user and multi-organization support, which are crucial for scaling our services to meet diverse customer needs. The challenge lies in maintaining top-notch frontend experiences while ensuring low latency and high reliability in collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance frontend features for user login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-user/multi-organization support.
Contribute to the transition of main frontend views to React Native, ensuring a streamlined and efficient codebase across platforms.
Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance user interfaces using modern technologies like React and TypeScript.
Work collaboratively with backend engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn visions into actionable roadmaps.
Ensure low-latency and highly reliable frontend experiences to deliver best-in-class user satisfaction.
Create high-quality, well-tested code that meets the demands of our expanding user base.
What We Value in You: A minimum of 2 years of experience in frontend software development.
Proven experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production-quality frontend systems.
Expert knowledge of modern frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
A commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code to serve your users effectively.
A passion for building an inclusive financial system that connects the globe.
Additional Desirable Skills: Experience with React Native or migrating web views to mobile platforms.
Experience in a company during a rapid growth phase (transitioning from startup to mid-sized).
Familiarity with authentication, identity, or security domains.
Experience optimizing frontend performance for low-latency, high-reliability applications.
Knowledge of crypto technologies, including engagement with Ethereum, ENS, dApps, or blockchain services.

The expected annual base salary for this position ranges from $152,405 to $179,300 USD. Full-time positions at Coinbase also include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and various benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
