We are seeking a skilled Linux Systems Administrator for a long-term contract role with a global IT consulting leader. Key Responsibilities: Expertly configure and thoroughly document Linux systems to ensure stability and performance. Effectively manage virtual machines to support robust simulation applications. Conduct comprehensive audits on hardware and software to optimize overall performance. Proactively implement OS updates, patches, and configuration changes in a timely manner. Diligently troubleshoot and resolve reported issues to maintain smooth operations. Skills and Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years of extensive IT experience. Relevant IT qualifications or a Tertiary Degree. Red Hat Certified Engineer certification is required. Proficiency in SQL/MYSQL, MSSQL, or Oracle databases. Familiarity with ITIL service management practices. Hands-on experience in Windows Desktop and Server administration. Knowledge at the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) level.
