The main objective of this paid summer internship is to provide technical support to students, improve internal security processes, and aid in technology-related tasks for administration. The Information Technology Intern will work closely with the supervisor to support existing systems, design new systems, and implement various policies.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Support faculty and staff with technical inquiries as assigned. Deploy and re-provision devices, including new and existing hardware. Assist in testing of new technologies, networks, and security principles. Contributing to the development and improvement of IT processes and procedures. Assisting in network administration tasks, including maintenance and documentation. Collaborating with IT team members on special projects and initiatives. Providing technical support to faculty and staff via Slack, email, or in-person. Engage in weekly professional development sessions as part of the summer internship cohort, cultivating collaboration, strengthening skills, and encouraging continuous learning. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills Required:
Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Some experience in support/technical roles desired but not required. Excellent communication (written, verbal, listening and public speaking) skills. Demonstrates a self-motivated and results-driven approach in a fast-paced environment, consistently delivering high-quality results while understanding the significance of automated testing. Must be service oriented with a focus on helping others. Qualifications (Education Requirements/Experience):
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Successful completion of a background check and current and/or ability to obtain the following clearances: Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting. Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, projectors, and filing cabinets.

Regularly required to sit; talk and hear, use hands to type, file, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry and move light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and learn technical information. Light lifting is required. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly move objects.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a summer internship, full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work from the office located in Chippewa Township, PA.
Travel:
The job does not require travel outside of the office.
