About the Team: The Data Science team is essential to driving data-focused initiatives across Confluent. About the Role: As a Senior Data Scientist at Confluent, you will be pivotal in influencing the product roadmap and driving revenue growth. Collaborating closely with the Product team and other cross-functional partners, you will leverage data and analytics to address challenges that enhance product adoption and growth. This role requires a blend of advanced technical skills, strategic insight, and leadership abilities to effectively shape decision-making processes. What You Will Do: Lead initiative prioritization and collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders to create a comprehensive data science roadmap. Establish and assess success metrics for new features and initiatives across the organization. Analyze data to highlight trends, identify growth opportunities, and inform strategic product decisions. Utilize technical skills in quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and data presentation to improve user experience. Communicate actionable insights and recommendations to leadership, significantly impacting product strategy. Work with fellow data scientists to share best practices, adopt new analytical methods, and cultivate a culture of data-driven decision-making. Provide peer reviews and constructive feedback to aid in the development of junior team members. What You Will Bring: Strong stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization. 7+ years of professional experience in Data Science and Analytics. Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across technical and non-technical teams. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in data manipulation using languages such as SQL and Python. Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation using tools like Tableau. Familiarity with A/B testing and best practices in experimentation. Knowledge of causal inference, machine learning, and advanced analytical techniques. A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, statistics, or economics.
