Lead Machine Learning Engineer
to join our Risk AI/ML team, dedicated to developing advanced models that protect our customers and establish Coinbase as the most trusted platform in crypto. Your efforts will actively combat fraud, account takeovers, and scams while enabling future offerings like instant guest checkout and Coinbase Cards. This is a hands-on technical position where you will use our state-of-the-art self-service ML platform to design, deploy, and refine models that protect millions of users. Key Responsibilities: Own a Critical Risk Domain:
Take full ownership of vital areas like Scams or Account Takeover. You will design and lead the strategy for models in this space.
Architect and Design Systems:
Direct the design and structure for new complex risk detection models, covering everything from feature pipeline setup to model selection (e.g., GNNs, LSTMs, LLMs) and efficient serving.
Drive the Technical Roadmap:
Collaborate with Product, Ops, and other stakeholders to convert ambiguous business needs into a definitive technical roadmap. You will serve as the primary voice defining the
