The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting our partners by integrating machine learning foundation models into their radiological clinical software. This role involves essential tasks such as model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and engaging in pre-sales activities including delivering compelling demonstrations. It is a client-facing position requiring a blend of technical expertise, client engagement, and exceptional collaboration and communication skills to ensure successful implementations and outstanding outcomes. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at HOPPR, you will work closely with customers and partners to design, implement, and deliver solutions that seamlessly integrate our platform into their workflows. You will serve as both a builder and a translator—understanding customer challenges, configuring HOPPR's platform, and developing code that deploys AI in critical healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with clinical, research, and industry partners to identify their imaging AI challenges. Translate clinical workflows and regulatory requirements into technical specifications. Act as the technical ambassador for HOPPR during deployments. Solution Development: Build and customize pipelines for AI model fine-tuning, validation, and deployment. Write high-quality production-ready code to integrate APIs, data pipelines, and ML models into customer systems. Rapidly prototype solutions while ensuring scalability and compliance. Deployment & Delivery: Lead on-site or remote deployments, ensuring customer success. Troubleshoot integrations across hospital PACS, cloud infrastructures, and enterprise systems. Monitor system performance and optimize for reliability, speed, and regulatory compliance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside HOPPR's product, ML research, software engineering, and compliance teams to enhance platform capabilities. Incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps, shaping features to serve a larger market. Contribute to documentation, demos, and developer resources for both customers and internal teams. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field. Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages. Experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP. Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of data pipelines, distributed systems, and ML deployment. Comfortable working with APIs, SDKs, and integration of third-party systems. Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt swiftly, and deliver solutions in unstructured settings. Excellent communication skills, engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed. Experience in medical imaging (DICOM, PACS, radiology workflows) is preferred. What We Offer: Competitive salary along with equity options.
