What the Hiring Manager Wants in a Project Manager (Brief Summary) 1. Experience with Mergers in Banking (Preferred)
Someone who has worked on banking mergers, system integration, or conversion projects. If not direct merger experience, then related banking project experience that can be trained into the role. 2. Strong Client-Facing Skills
Must be confident and polished with customers. Able to handle clients who have already experienced pain points and are sensitive to delays or issues. Someone who can restore trust and manage expectations effectively. 3. Ability to Ramp Up Quickly
Projects need to start before year-end, so the person should learn fast. Should adapt quickly to internal processes and be productive without long onboarding. 4. Solid Project Management Fundamentals
Must be experienced enough that they won't cause additional issues-no "green" PMs. Able to run projects with structure, communication, risk management, and coordination. 5. Capacity to Manage Multiple Mergers The mergers pipeline is piling up, so they need someone who can handle:
