The Onramp and Offramp teams serve as the critical link between fiat and onchain economies. Coinbase Onramp simplifies the process of moving money onchain, playing a vital role in onboarding users into the crypto space and driving our mission of building an open financial system for everyone. As a member of a dynamic team of talented engineers at Coinbase, you will help create the best infrastructure for moving money onchain and offchain. Onramp helps facilitate billions of dollars entering the onchain space, and your role will be pivotal in expanding our product offerings. Our customers include some of the most widely-used applications in crypto such as Coinbase Wallet, Metamask, Phantom, Block (Bitkey), and Ledger. What we seek from you: 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
A scrappy, self-starter mentality with a strong drive to enhance customer experience.
Robust full-stack engineering expertise, capable of developing reliable backend services and fast, user-friendly UIs that can handle real-world complexities.
A solid grasp of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design; proficient in designing and integrating with both internal systems and third-party services.
Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code that addresses customer needs.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a talent for working effectively with designers and product managers.
Passion for excellent developer tooling and strong opinions on what constitutes great developer platforms.
A true passion for onchain/Web3 and a solid understanding of blockchain technologies, particularly Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains.
Preferred qualifications: Experience navigating rapid growth in an organization, from startup to mid-size.
Hands-on experience building applications on top of blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
Experience in breaking down a large monolith into microservices.
Background in developing high-reliability or security systems in the financial domain.

Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
