The Onramp and Offramp teams provide essential connections between fiat and onchain economies. With Coinbase Onramp, we simplify the process of moving money onchain, making it easier for users to enter the crypto space and contributing to our mission of creating an open financial system for everyone. As part of our dynamic engineering team, you will help develop the best infrastructure for transferring funds onchain and offchain. Onramp facilitates billions of dollars entering the onchain space, and your contributions will be crucial in expanding our product offerings. Our clientele includes some of the most widely-used applications in the crypto world, such as Coinbase Wallet, Metamask, Phantom, Block (Bitkey), and Ledger. What we are looking for: At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
A proactive, self-starter approach with a focus on enhancing customer experiences.
Comprehensive full-stack engineering expertise, skilled in creating reliable backend services and rapid, user-friendly UIs that address real-world complexities.
A strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design; adept in designing and integrating with both internal and third-party systems.
Capaable of writing high-quality, well-tested code that responds to customer needs.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a knack for effectively partnering with designers and product managers.
A passion for outstanding developer tooling and a strong opinion on what makes excellent developer platforms.
A genuine interest in onchain/Web3 technologies and a solid foundation in blockchain, especially Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in organizations navigating rapid growth from startup to mid-size.
Hands-on experience in developing applications utilizing blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
Experience in breaking down large monolith systems into microservices.
Background in creating high-reliability or security systems within the financial domain.

Compensation for this role ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD, depending on your location. Full-time offers from Coinbase include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
