Job Summary
The Sr. Business Intelligence Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the FP&A team and the business with data quality, analysis and visualization that support decision-making. This is a new role within the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Partner closely with Business Analysts and IT data engineers to ensure data elements and dashboards align with business requirements, data definitions, and stakeholder expectations. Partner with Data Engineers to ensure dashboards are built on accurate, well-structured, and validated data. Translate business and reporting requirements from business stakeholders into technical requirements for IT data engineers. Apply data visualization best practices to create intuitive, visually effective reports and dashboards. Design and develop Power BI dashboards that communicate insights clearly to executive and operational stakeholders. Validate dashboard outputs against source data and business expectations. Holds review sessions with stakeholders to incorporate feedback into data validation and dashboard refinements. Assists and provides best practices for documentation of dashboard logic, metrics definitions, and design standards. Support the optimization of business performance through analysis of operational and financial KPIs. Assist with integration of M&A/strategic opportunities. Perform ad hoc analysis as requested and other duties as assigned. The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required. Degree in a STEM field or Business preferred. Master's degree in finance or M.B.A is viewed favorably. Experience: 5+ years in data analysis and visualization required. Skills
Analytical Thinking: Understands data relationships and delivers clear insights. Able to translate business requirements into visual analytics solutions. Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and consistency across data sources. Communication: Explains insights clearly to non-technical audiences both in written and verbal communication. Collaboration: Works effectively and collaboratively with business stakeholders. Able to work both independently and within a group. Familiarity with Power BI data modeling, DAX, SQL, and other data mining tools. Strong understanding of data models and analytical concepts.
Physical Demands
