Position Overview: Staff Development Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Staff Development Nurse (RN) to lead clinical education and support the ongoing professional growth of our nursing staff. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of care, supporting compliance, and ensuring our team is equipped to deliver exceptional, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, develop, and implement educational programs for nursing and support staff
  2. Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding
  3. Evaluate staff competencies and coordinate in-service training
  4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility standards
  5. Support infection control and quality assurance initiatives
  6. Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and leader for nursing staff
Qualifications:
  1. Current Registered Nurse license in Alabama
  2. Minimum of three years of nursing experience
  3. Long-term care or geriatric experience strongly preferred
  4. Previous Staff Development Nurse experience highly desirable
  5. Strong organizational, planning, and leadership abilities
  6. Ability to interpret reports and utilize data effectively
  7. Ability to coordinate across departments to support quality nursing services
