Position Overview: Join the Revenue and Marketing Data Science Team at Walmart Global Tech, where we harness the power of data-driven ML/AI solutions to connect Walmart, suppliers, sellers, and customers. We are looking for a talented Lead Data Scientist with a deep understanding of generative AI, large language models, and deep learning to enhance our marketing and advertising initiatives. Your expertise will help translate cutting-edge concepts into meaningful business applications for e-commerce. Key Responsibilities: Develop and fine-tune advanced deep learning models, LLMs, and multimodal models for E-commerce marketing and advertising applications, including ad creative generation and personalized recommendations. Create agentic systems that drive marketing and advertising, including design, communication, routing/orchestration, and evaluation. Process large-scale datasets using distributed computing, extracting insights and optimizing business metrics. Generate visuals and reports that effectively communicate model outcomes and insights to business stakeholders. Collaborate with engineering teams to transition AI innovations into scalable operational solutions. Maintain high academic standards through publications, patent applications, and contributions to the research community. Qualifications: Strong experience with large deep learning models, including training, deployment, LLM prompt engineering, and multi-modality modeling. Expertise in designing and developing agentic AI systems. Proficient in Python programming and capable of handling large data volumes. PhD in computer science, statistics, data science, mathematics, electrical engineering, economics, or operations research. Preferred 2+ years of industrial experience in recommendation systems, marketing, or related fields. A proven track record of academic publications in recognized conferences.
