The prestigious New York Athletic Club, one of the world's premier private clubs, founded in 1868 and located on Central Park South in Manhattan, and Pelham Manor, NY, is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator, reporting to the Associate Director of Information Technology, is responsible for managing and maintaining the Club's technology and infrastructure, providing primary IT support, and implementing new technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of enterprise servers (on-premises and cloud), managing network and server configurations, IP phones, and supporting end users. Exceptional customer service, time management, and project coordination skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
This is an in-office position requiring business professional attire, based at the main Manhattan office. The candidate will be part of a small IT team supporting both NYAC offices in Manhattan, composed of 23 floors, 350,000 square feet including 180+ room hotel, and Pelham Manors offices across a 31-acre property. Flexibility is essential. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, team members will rotate weekly to work on-site at Pelham Manor (Travers Island). Reliable transportation to Pelham Manor is required. The candidate will also participate in the team's on-call rotation to provide remote support for emergency incidents.
Requirements
3 - 5 years of proven systems administration experience with a combined total of 8 years in an IT related role Bachelor's degree (information technology or related field) Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to maintain professional composure Strong interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work with strong attention to detail Ability to handle multiple projects of different disciplines concurrently Ability to work independently as well as part of a group Must be a service-oriented team-player eager to respond to requests and assist colleagues of all levels Experience in hospitality preferred The Systems Administrator must have strong knowledge of:
Windows Desktop (Windows 10+) and server (Server 2019+) operating systems VMWare, MS Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Office 365, and Entra ID Windows domain management: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP Network administration (VLANS, subnets, security, IP phones) Desktop hardware and software troubleshooting in a windows environment Troubleshooting network printers within a windows print server environment Antivirus management (SentinelOne and FalconOne) Email security (Mimecast and Exchange online protection) RMM tools and ticketing software PC Imaging (Smart Deploy) Additional skills preferred:
Managing and configuring Cisco switches, Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, Meraki firewalls and access points Experience managing Ubiquiti UniFi Enterprise NVR and security cameras Point of sale hardware (EloView, EPSON receipt printers, Stripe CC Reader, RFID Reader) Enterprise file systems (Egnyte, OneDrive, and SharePoint) Enterprise backup solutions - Veeam and Dell Data Domain MDM management (MS Intune, JAMF Pro, Chrome Enterprise) Disaster Recovery - ASR (Azure Site Recovery) Interactive Television Support
